Area Report for Board of Trustees
Going from the resonating theme of community in the December Student Services Board of Trustees report, January Student Services’ thematic spirit is that of reflection and growth through our journey to serve our students and each other. This past month at our Winter Break Celebration members of our team broke bread, reflected on departmental achievements, welcomed new staff members to our community and honored the legacies within it.
On that note, Student Services is honored and privilege to share that Nga Pham, the International Student Programs Advisor, will be retiring this month with over 30 years of service to our Highline College students and community. Please join us in our heartfelt appreciation to wish Nga the best in her retirement. Thank you Nga!

To kick it off, our Center for Inclusive and Cultural Excellence department invited Dr. Joye Hardiman to speak on the Winter Series event theme of “The Power of Pause: A Path to Healing & Justice”, which is centered on identity, community and healing through rest. Dr. Hardiman will be on campus Tuesday, January 21st between 10:00am-1:30pm for a Keynote, Book Signing and Workshop Session!
