Approve minutes of the regularly scheduled meeting of September 10, 2020

Opportunity for public comment

Individuals are invited to sign-up for public comment in advance of the meeting by completing this form.  Pre-meeting registration for public comment will close at 3PM on Wednesday, Nov. 11, 2020.

Alternatively, persons wishing to testify can sign up in the chat box of the Zoom meeting prior to the start of the meeting. The chat box will open at 9:55 a.m. to begin accepting sign-ups.

Testimonies will be limited to three minutes. Those who sign-up to speak will be individually called upon by the Chair.

  • Action Item a: Renewal of the emergency order to repeal Highline College’s Title IX Policy and Procedure: WAC 1321-300-010 and WAC 1321-300-020, previously approved by the Highline College Board of Trustees on Aug. 13, 2020,  for an additional one hundred twenty (120) days, commencing on December 12, 2020.
  • Action Item b: Renewal of the emergency order to approve Model Supplemental Title IX Student Conduct Procedures: WAC 132I-125-505, WAC 132I-125-515, WAC 132I-125-525, WAC 132I-125-535, WAC 132I- 125-545, WAC 132I-125-555, WAC 132I-125-565, WAC 132I-125-575 and WAC 132I-125-585 previously approved by the Highline College Board of Trustees on Aug. 13, 2020, for an additional one hundred twenty (120) days, commencing on December 12, 2020.

Board report

There is no scheduled board report for the November 12, 2020 General Session due to Governor’s Proclamation 20-28.11 amending the current requirements and expectations under RCW 42.30 Open Public Meetings Act. OPMA meeting business is currently to be limited to those matters that are either (1) necessary and routine, or (2) necessary to respond to the COVID-19 outbreak and the current public health emergency.
