MOTION
Whereas the College had provided a preliminary review of the FY2023-24 Budget in July 2023, and
Whereas the College has provided the finalized version of the FY2023-24 Budget today, and
Per the request and recommendation of the Highline College President, Dr. John R. Mosby, I move for the Board to approve the Fiscal Year 2023-24 Budget effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2024.

Whereas, in November 2022, the Board of Trustees affirmed its commitment to the College’s current themes, broadly delineated as reducing barriers and closing equity gaps to access for all community members; increasing educational success and closing equity gaps, and collaborating to improve; and creating a more inclusive working and learning environment and more valued, visible relationships with the communities we serve, and
Whereas, since then, a fourth core theme has been developed and is in use as a way to emphasize a campus culture which fosters equity and inclusivity supporting employee growth and development, and institutional capacity for transformation in service of our mission,
Be It Therefore Resolved that The Board of Trustees affirms its commitment to the addition of this fourth core theme, focused on promoting an equitable and inclusive campus culture that supports employee growth and development and institutional capacity to make necessary transformation
