Core Theme 4: CULTURE & CAPACITY: Become an anti-racist college through intentional development of employees, facilities, and systems that support student success and close equity gaps.

  • ITS has recently retired some legacy back-end software that had become redundant as other tools developed similar functionality and we have modernized our authentication and identity systems. The work to eliminate dependencies on that legacy software resulted in the recent update and modernization of several of our processes.  One of these changes was an update to the myHighline student account activation site and process for new students.  This change maintains the same general activation process while modernizing the look and feel of the user interface and improving some background processes.  Additionally, we have added a new option for a student to activate using the email address they used for their Highline application without needing their activation code. A related change moved end-user password change and reset functionality for myHighline accounts to MyApps (Okta).  This change aligns that process with our current account systems and offers better self-service options. We hope these changes will provide a more consistent experience for all of our users.
